How to properly install Insulation Piercing Connectors

The insulation piercing connector mainly consists of an insulation shell, piercing blades, waterproof rubber pads, and torque bolts. When connecting cable branches, insert the branch cable into the branch cap to determine the branch position of the main line. Then use a socket wrench to tighten the torque nut on the fixture. When tightening the torque nut, the puncture connector has two insulators that hide the puncture blade. Gradually, the arc shaped sealant pad wrapped around the piercing knife gradually sticks to the cable insulation layer, and the piercing knife also begins to puncture the cable insulation layer and metal conductors. When the sealing gasket and insulating grease are sealed to the best extent, and the puncture blade contacts the metal body, the torque nut automatically separates. At this time, the puncture connector is installed, and the sealing and electrical effects of the contact points are optimized.

How to install a perforated connector.

1. Adjust the Piercing connector nut to the appropriate position and fully insert the thorn into the sling cap.

Insert the main line of the Piercing connector. If the main line has two layers of insulation, remove a certain length of external insulation from the connection.

3. Place the main/branch line in the appropriate position of the puncture connector and keep it parallel. Tighten the nut by hand first to secure the clamp.

Use the corresponding socket wrench to evenly tighten the nut of the puncture joint until the top end is broken, and the installation is completed.
